Goddamn it. Fuck everything. Fuck everyone.
Fuck transplant hipsters and trust-fund babies. Pretentious sacks of shit, diluting our culture. Fuck Williamsburg. In fact, fuck all of New York City. I'm sick of this place. Not my home anymore. Fuck pseudo-intellectual teenagers who think they're some sort of revolutionary. Change the world with your mind? Gonna write? Make art? Make music? Go fuck yourself. Fuck all of these new 'indie' bands. Same old garbage from every last one of them. Not impressed. Fuck people with shitty taste in music who now listen to indie rock and think they're so hip. Get with the times, kid. Fuck the New York Times. Fuck the mass media, political debates, McCain, Palin, and all you right wing assholes. Fuck you kids who claim to be liberal but all just in a futile effort to look educated and cool. You probably don't even know what entails when Obama speaks of change. Fuck off.
Fuck my whole goddamn waste of youth. A whole generation born to be nothing more than consumer sheep, buying and wasting. A whole generation of apathetic assholes who do nothing but feed the corporate machine. We are in a new Great Depression. Build some fucking character. Nothing surprises or inspires me anymore. I want that to change.

Where do you stand in all this?
the truth. where do you stand, my friend?
Being observant, my dear Watson. That is all.
“Creativity is merely a plus name for regular activity. Any activity becomes creative when the doer cares about doing it right, or better.”
There's still hope for our generation. Complaining about it and feeling above the problem doesn't get anyone anywhere. Even me, but start doing something if you think we are so "down in the dumps" or you aren't any better than the sheep you complain about.
you know, i was pleasantly surprised to see such a positive response. usually anonymous comments on blogs and forums are just trolls.
if you'll believe me, though we're complete strangers on the internet, i do try and make a difference. i register people to vote, i help promote artistic and musical events and organizations and just getting people more involved in things because a disgusting amount of young folk in this great country are far too apathetic to care enough to do anything at all.
your comment was quite refreshing. thank you.
Life isn't filled with strangers, but interesting individuals that you haven't talk to yet or haven't found the essence of what makes them unique, different than any other human that passes you on the street.
Or on the train. Or in a park.
It's all about accepting people in that way, even the sheep controlled the mass media, because if you do that, you will learn more about them and yourself.
Don't forget that. I hope to hear more things about you, Mister Andy Liao. People, like us, are breaking our necks to keep our chins up. People think we might be cheating, but our chins are still up. That's the real point.
